Court charges man for illegal firearm

THE Municipal Trial Court in Cities charged a man accused of possessing unlicensed firearm just outside a videoke bar along Tibungco, Davao City last month.

Charged was Romeo Advincula Lloren, 24, a resident of Royal Valley subdivision in Bangkal, Davao City, after City Prosecutor Rolando Deiparine found probable cause to hold him for court trial based on the complaint of PO1 Renard Taal of the Bunawan Police station.

In an affidavit, Taal said that around 7 a.m. of March 16, he was on foot patrol in front of Zapra Videoke House in Barangay Tibungco, Davao City when he saw a man who was about to enter the establishment, apparently armed.

When frisked, Lloren yielded a handgun with serial number 626602 with six live ammunitions.

Deiparine recommended bailbond of P60,000 for the respondent's temporary liberty. (RMH)
