Martin in finals

RALPH Martin topped the Datba Tenpin Weekly Qualifying Tournament anew by hitting a total of 801 pinfalls at the NCCC Mall B3 Lanes Saturday evening.

Martin bested back-to-back weekly champion lawyer Marc Fernandez, Kadayawan masters champion Alan Edulan, Ian Ancheta and Danny Usman who placed second, third, fourth and fifth, respectively.

Fernandez rolled 798 pins while Edulan garnered 791. Ancheta also got 789 and Usman amassed 788 in the tournament organized by the Davao Tenpin Bowlers Association (Datba).

The weekly champion gains a slot during the monthly finals that gives away cash prizes and trophies to the winners.

The monthly champions will then advance to the grand championship set in December.

Datba's youth summer clinic, meanwhile, is ongoing every 5:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays at the B3 Lanes. (MLSA)
