Waterfront hotels offer another first
By Nelson C. Bagaforo

HERE'S another first from Gatchalian-owned Waterfront Philippines Inc., the largest Filipino-owned and managed first class hotel chain in the country.

Wherever you are, as long as you have Internet access, you can place a reservation at any Waterfront hotel by just a click away.

No need to inquire through sending e-mails and wait for replies, you only need to log on to www.waterfronthotels.com.ph and presto, you can book your stay at the hotel.

"It's the first hotel online reservations system in the country powered by Opera, one of the world's leading provider of enterprise applications for hotel industry," said Brandon Borras, Waterfront Insular Hotel Davao's reservation officer.

Borras said "every detail of hotel operations is on the website" making it easier for clients here and anywhere in the globe to make their reservations very easy.

"Guests can request for whatever they want as long as kayang i-serve ng hotel. Para pagdating nila (guests) sa hotel, they can immediately feel the comfort they're looking for," said Borras, who has been in hotel business for 17 years now.

"Our online reservation system is easier and guaranteed booking," he said, adding, "Prospective clients can get immediate confirmation. Not like in sending e-mails when they have to wait for a certain period of time to get their booking confirmation."

The website also features packages and promotions being offered by Waterfront hotels for clients to choose from.

On the website, Waterfront's travel agency partners are listed to also guide prospective clients where to go and whom to approach.

The website does not only serve walk-in clients and travelers, also our accredited travel agencies and cor[porate clients with real-time online booking and safe payment," said Brenda Ellen Arabe, Waterfront-Davao marketing communications officer.

Waterfront Philippines Inc. operates five hotels located in the country's key cities. It operates the Manila Pavilion on UN Avenue in Manila and G Hotel Manila on Roxas Blvd.

In Cebu, it owns the posh Waterfront Cebu City Hotel & Casino on Salinas Drive in Lahug, and the Waterfront Airport Hotel & Casino on Airport Road in Lapu-Lapu City.

In Davao City, it took over the management and operations of the former Davao Insular Hotel, one of Davao City's landmarks, now known as the Waterfront Insular Hotel Davao in Lanang.
