DAVAO del Norte District II Representative Anton Floirendo-Lagdameo expresses his support to the upcoming Caracoles Festival slated April 25 to 27 in Peñaplata, Island Garden City of Samal.
The Caracoles is a summer island festival of shells -- a cultural metaphor of the verdant marine resources in the Davao Gulf Area.
"I am very impressed to the Local Government Officials of all the municipalities comprising Island Garden City of Samal (Igacos) especially of Peñaplata for such initiative of having a festival that would showcase Igacos' best at different aspects." Lagdameo said. "I am giving my full support to the event."
Igacos is part of Lagdameo's second district where he is known for his Barangayanihan program.
One of his Barangayanihan platforms is to promote Davao del Norte's tourism through productive fete.
"I am very happy that Igacos is able to continue this annual event of festivities. This Caracoles Festival is part of the master plan to boost the tourism in Samal. We look forward to the possibility that this kind of activity will be able to bring development, first to Igacos and to the rest of District 2, by providing livelihood and encouraging business prospects for the city," he added.

It has set various activities for all the spectator pumps like Beach Volleyball that is open for all athletes in Mindanao, Product Exhibit, Regatta -- a motorized bangka parade from Sta.
