Davao claws Caraga in basketball
PUERTO PRINCESA CITY, Palawan -- The Davao Regional Athletic Association (Davraa) Eagles clawed Caraga Region, 79-68, in secondary boys basketball of the 2008 Palarong Pambansa at the Ramon V. Mitra, Jr. Sports Complex here Monday.
Arturo Montalban Jr., who coached the Eagles squad, was bannered by players from Davao City and reinforced by two Compostela Valley (ComVal) cagers.

Stann Aburada, Dexter Caminse, Deogracias Campo Jr., Francis Joseph Cutin, Miguel Plata, Nikko Rivera, Ramil Rizaldo, Jison Rugay, John Michael Santia and Mario Tutor Jr. composed the Davao team.
The ComVal players are Gary Niog and Bob Clu Ombecan.
Meanwhile, the National Capitol Region (NCR) crushed Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (Armm), 91-39.
In elementary baseball, Davraa lost to Cotabato Region, 1-11, while Caraga beat Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), 2-0. Ilocos routed Eastern Visayas, 17-5. (MLSA)
