Dizon wins 18-U title
DAVAO City's Steffi Marie Dizon beat Rosemarie Sanchez, 6-4, 6-1, to pocket the girls 18-under title at the close of the 2008 Head Junior Satellite Circuit at the Cebu Country Club courts in Cebu City over the weekend.
The former Ateneo de Davao University (AdDU) netter Dizon, now a varsity scholar at the De La Salle University, shared the limelight with Kennex Abadia, who turned back Ryan Montalbo, 6-3, 5-0, to retire in their boys 18-under finals.

John Cabahug emerged champion in the boys 16-under after whipping Franklin Encarnacion, 6-2, 6-2, while Jennifer Jaco spanked Sanchez, 6-4, 6-2, in the girls event of the tournament sponsored by Dynamic Sports Corporation and sanctioned by the Philippine Tennis Association.
The boys 14-under and girls 14-under titles went to Ariel Torion and Crissianne Issa Kintanar, respectively.
Torion demolished Rajs Batao, 6-3, 6-4, while Kintanar hacked out a 6-4, 3-6, 11-9 victory over Hannah Espinosa. (MLSA)
