By Grace L. Plata

A TOTAL of 504 boys are now officially "men" as they underwent circumcision in the "Libreng Tuli" project of the Davao City government. More boys will be snipped as the team is moving to the second and third districts.

The first free circumcision service was held last Saturday at the Almendras Gym starting 8 a.m. until 7:30 p.m.

The medical team was composed of workers from the City Health Office (CHO), City Mayor's Office, and the Vice Mayor's Office.

On May 10, the team will render service at the Buhangin Gym and at Toril Gym on May 17.

"Libre tuli, libre kaon pa gyud maong gina-awhag namo ang mga bata mga mu-avail sa libreng tuli ni Mayor ug Inday Sara (The boys are circumcised for free and they are fed as well that's why we encourage all boys who still have to be circumcised to avail of this service)," Christpoher Lawrence Go, executive assistant to the city mayor, said Monday.
