NPA harassing returnee: AFP

A REBEL returnee from Agusan del Sur was reportedly harassed by the New People's Army (NPA) rebels Friday.

In a text message, Major Medel Aguilar of the 5th Civil Relations Group said the 57-year-old returnee, whose identity will be withheld for security reasons, reported to his office Saturday and told him that three rebels went to his (returnee) house at Barangay Langkilaan in Trento, Agusan del Sur Friday and poked a .45 caliber pistol at his head in full sight of his children.

The rebels left soon after.

The returnee and his family left their house that very evening after being told by a barangay official that the rebels were coming back.

Aguilar said they already informed the soldiers assigned in the area to secure the properties left by the rebel returnee and his family. (BOT)
