Sasa and Baliok tallied identical three wins and one loss each in the double round robin inter-congressional district finals.

The 0-4 Crossing Bayabas placed third in the meet sponsored by Davao City Mayor Rodrigo R. Duterte, Vice-Mayor Inday Sara Duterte, Inday Para Sa Barangay (IPSB) headed by Richard "ZAP" Necessario, Sports Development Division of the City Mayor's Office headed by Christopher "Bong" Go and the Philippine Volleyball Federation.

Sasa will receive a total cash prize of P30,000 while Baliok will get P25,000 and Crossing Bayabas with P20,000 in the awarding of prizes set on May 17 at the Almendras Gym.

Tournament director Daks Yambao said in a statement, "Initially, the cash prize for the congressional championships was only 10,000-8,000-5,000 for the top 3 finishers. During the championship, however, Vice Mayor Inday Sara announced cash prizes will be increased to 20,000-15,000-10,000. The prizes for district and inter-political stages were also increased."

Sasa's Thelma Robledo was hailed most valuable player (MVP) while teammate Rema Teves was named best blocker.

The best digger title went to Lourdes Gupit while fellow Crossing Bayabas player Krysna Caur Corral took the best attacker award.

Baliok's Charmaine Daug-Daug and Mary Joy Nietes won the best setter and best server titles, respectively. (MLSA)
