Pirates' Night at Pearl Farm
By Jojie Alcantara

IF Pearl Farm Beach Resort has Mindanao Nights every Tuesday, Friday calls for a different tune, the Pirates Night.

The evening starts with a festive air, as lights are turned low on the beach front where tables are set.

Arroyo Watch: Sun.Star blog on President Arroyo

Suddenly, sounds of "gunshots" fill the air, and from out in the sea, a lone boat filled with pirates" waving torches loom towards the shore. The party begins.

The pirates, very wonderful performers, amaze the audience with their dance numbers, fire breathing demonstrations, and encouragement of audience participation through the limbo rock contests.

Apart from the live entertainment, guests are treated to several food stations, ranging from delectable appetizers (Spicy Octopus Pickles, Marinated Jelly Fish in Vinegar, etc.), Pacific Salad, Lechon, Charcoaled Griled fish, pork, and chicken, Stir Fried seafood (can you resist Seawater Crabs in spice ingredients?) and tropical fruits and different cakes. The beverage bar is also available for your kind of drink.

You can avail of the package promo offered by the resort with an overnight stay in your preferred cottage plus a grand buffet dinner at the Pirates Night. Soon, a night tour package is being arranged for visiting guest.

Pirates Night is celebrated every Friday at 7pm at the Maranao Beach Area. For more details, call Pearl Farm Beach Resort office in Damosa Bldg, Davao City, or visit its website www.pearlfarmresort.com.
