Wednesday, May 28, 2008 Bendigo expects innovations in witness protection program By Rhodamae M. Hernandez
CHIEF prosecutor Raul B. Bendigo said that he is expecting some innovations on the Witness Protection Program after the Department of Justice designated Regional State Prosecutor Antonio Arellano as the implementer and head of the program's regional unit.
"Expected talaga na may changes. Ngayon mas madali na kasi ang big portion of the territory, si RSP Arellano na ang mag handle," Bendigo told Sun.Star Davao.
He added that Arellano's designation was a great help to the program.
"We welcome his designation, in fact mas malaki ang area niya and he is really a big help," Bendigo said in an interview.
With the establishment of the two units in the region, queries and applications for possible coverage under the program will be filed before the Office of City Prosecutor's Office and at the Office of the Regional State Prosecutor.
