IBP-RRD loop resumes

IBP Yellow meets the City Government of Davao in the resumption of the 2008 Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP)-Mayor Rodrigo Duterte Cup Basketball League Wednesday night at the Davao City Recreation Center.

In the previous games at the IBP Hall of Justice covered court, IBP White scored a 102-89 win over IBP Orange in overtime for its fourth win against one loss.

Ryan Escorido stepped up in the last 19 seconds of regulation time and made the sterling performance that tied the game at 85-all.

Wilmar Al-ag missed the desperate shot for IBP Orange in the dying seconds that sent the game into overtime. But IBP White outscored IBP Orange in the extra period, 17-4, to silence the Orange men who now sport a 3-3 win-loss card.

Panabo Hall of Justice (1-4) finally tasted a victory after five games over IBP Coca-Cola (3-3), 103-94 but the game was placed under protest by the Coke cagers.

Panabo allegedly fielded in an ineligible player. Comelec Region XI leveled its count to 3-3 after besting ABS-CBN Davao (3-4), 87-82.

The scores:

Panabo Hall of Justice (103) -- Marasigan 24, Campomanes 21, Banga 20, Solis 18, Garcia 8, Torre 4, Padilla, Hoybia 2, Moncada 2, Devero 2.

IBP Coca-Cola (94) -- Torres 26, Cunanan 17, Caharian 17, Maurillo 16, Hoybia 11, Estrella 10, Jao 1.
