Tuesday, June 03, 2008 CMDF to hold seminar on construction management
THE DTI-Construction Manpower Development Foundation (CMDF-Mindanao) will conduct a Seminar on Construction Project Management on June 9 and 10 at Felis Resort Complex, Matina Aplaya, Davao City.
The Construction Management Course focuses on the collaborative effort required to complete any public or private construction project, providing the construction professional with the skills needed to work with and alongside the owner representative, the designer, consultant and builder.
The course explains in detail the project elements, environment, and responsibilities of the varied project stakeholders.
This course will benefit construction project managers, architects, project owners, civil engineers and practitioners who are looking for an understanding of the changes in the industry and new tools of management available for dealing with such changes.
At the end of the course, the participants are expected to have:
1. Learned the major phases of construction project development from the perspective of the project owner, designer/consultant and builder;
2. Gain additional knowledge on the management functions of planning, organizing, leading and controlling/ implementing a construction project;
3. Have an in-depth analysis of the various issues concerning construction project management.
Interested participants are invited. A registration fee of P3,000 per head will be charged to cover the costs of instructional materials, certificates, and meals.
