THE Barangay Panacan beat Barangay 5-A Bankerohan, 10-5, to emerge grand champion in the Batang Growee 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament played at the Barangay Buhangin Gym Sunday.
Bankerohan grabbed the runner-up honors while Barangay Buhangin and Barangay Gov. Duterte placed second and third, respectively.
Panacan's Alexis Caño was hailed Most Valuable Player (MVP) in the inter-barangay tournament for 10 years old and under players.
The winners received cash prizes, trophies, Growee vitamins, jerseys and freebies in the meet organized by the Evangelista Aquatics and Sports Management, Inc and supported by Pediatrica Inc., makers of Growee Vitamins, Davao City Vice-Mayor Inday Sara Duterte, Davao City Councilors Dante Apostol and Edgar Ibuyan, Gatorade, Ladislawa Country Club and Davao Jones Academy.
The event was sanctioned by the Basketball Association of the Philippines-Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (BAP-SBP). (MLSA)
