THE Goldstar Hardware gained in class D bracket A after crushing Holcim Philippines, 107-76, in the resumption of the 2008 Summer Basketball League Sunday at the Almendras Gym.
Former University of Mindanao (UM) Wildcat Adrian Mamba drilled in 17 points to lead Goldstar while teammate Winston Ho added 14.
Julius Villarta, meanwhile, made 20 points for Holcim that dropped to a 0-3, win-loss card. His teammates Kim Guitguitin and Kenneth Espinosa chipped in 12 points apiece while Allan Golez made six points.
In class D bracket B match, Pagcor beat Outsourcing Solution, 108-99, to notch its second win in three games.
Goldstar also won its debut match in class C against Wallmount Advertising, 105-75, giving the latter its third straight defeat.
BLBE Auto Parts routed City Mayor's Office, 99-70, to improve to a 2-1 record. CMO, whose city sports coordinator Christopher "Bong" Go sank 20 points, now totes a 1-1 card. (MLSA)
