Peter Morales, Boy Detuya and Arlyn Tamayo also pocketed titles in the qualifying event for the monthly finals of the meet organized by the Sunday Bowlers Club.
Morales rolled 235 pins to rule class B over Nonoy Lacuesta (227), Nato Santos (225) and Emie Orteza (221) while Detuya prevailed in class C with 241 pinfalls.
The latter bested Onyot Morales and Jayve Baluyot who placed second and third, respectively. Onyot made 231 pinfalls while Baluyot had 203.
Tamayo, on her part, bagged the ladies crown with 195 pinfalls as against Naty Amorillo's 192 and Arianne Velasco's 186.
The SBC Independece Day Dalawahan Tournament gets underway on Thursday at Fairlanes. The four-game series offers cash prizes of P2,000, P1,500, P1,000 and P500 for the top four players. (MLSA)
