PT center has more services to offer

AFTER the successful launch of its Physiotherapy machines, Holiday Gym and Spa, the premier health and wellness center, is offering better physical therapy services to Dabawenyos.

The physical therapy units have been given a new name, Holiday Physical Therapy Center, and now offer tiered rates starting June 1.

Simple cases like arthritic conditions, fracture healing, amputations, scoliosis, frozen shoulder, low back pain, neck pain, sprains/strains, Bell's Palsy, radiculopathies, disc protrusion, plantar fasciitis vascular problems, Carpal tunnel syndrome, nerve entrapment syndromes, myofascial pain syndromes, joint dislocation/subluxation, and chest physical therapy will be treated for only P250 per session.

For complicated cases like stroke, spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injury, Parkinson's disease, cerebral palsy, hip/knee, arthroplasty's, burns, post-operative ligamentous injuries, Pott's disease, cardiac rehabilitation, Down's Syndrome, and other Delayed Motor Development Conditions will be treated for P350 per session.

A 10 percent discount is given to Holiday gym members while senior citizens get 20 percent discounts on services offered.

The Holiday Physical Therapy Center welcomes the arrival of its additional equipment like the traction table and hydrotherapy tank or whirlpool. HGS aims to provide world-class standard physiotherapy care, along with its top of the line fitness equipment and amenities.

The Physiotherapy machines put HGS ahead as it becomes Davao City's premier physical rehabilitation and sports conditioning center. The use of the Physiotherapy will be incorporated with weights and strength machines, such as LifeFitness and Cybex equipment.

HGS is the only fitness center in Davao City that has the most number of physical therapists in its roster of employees. HGS currently has 10 physical therapists in its roster working as gym instructors and physical therapists at the same time.

HGS also boasts of having the American Council on Exercise (ACE) among its certified staff. Ivy Fernandez, HGS chief operating officer, has three ACE certifications: group exercise instructor, personal trainer, and lifestyle and weight management consultant.

Cielo Acosta, who is a licensed physical therapist and an ACE certified group instructor, is HGS's group exercise coordinator.

Gym supervisors Ted Uy and Cocoy Malbog are both ACE certified personal trainers and licensed physical therapists at the same time.

HGS makes sure that their staff gets continuous training and certifications.

Currently, HGS has several staff preparing for the ACE certification exams to be held in Manila this July 23.
