As of this writing Thursday, the casualties have yet to be identified and their respective families notified by authorities.

The injured persons were rushed to the Davao Medical Center by the mobile patrol cars of the Davao City Police Office (DCPO).

Based on the initial reports obtained from Senior Superintendent Jaime Morente, DCPO director, the dump truck was owned by RBJ Builders.

The truck was traversing the Davao-Bukidnon highway when it fell off at Barangay Katipunan in Arakan Valley at around 7 a.m.

From Calinan, the Davao-Bukidnon highway crosses the city's Marilog district then straddles a portion of Arakan Valley before it comes back to Marilog district and then cuts through Lorega in Kitaotao town of Bukidnon province before it again returns to the Davao City territory, and finally, Quezon town again in Bukidnon.
