MNLF, MILF form body for Bangsamoro struggle

THE Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) jointly created an organization that will serve as the coordinating body between the two Muslim groups and other groups that wish to join their fight for the Bangsamoro people.

The new group is called the Bangsamoro Solidarity Conference. It was created after a meeting between leaders of the MILF and MNLF-Committee of 15, headed by Cotabato City Mayor Muslimin Sema, at Darapanan, Sultan Kudarat, Shariff Kabunsuan last week.

Among other matters agreed upon by the MILF and the MNLF is that "unity is paramount in the search for genuine solution to centuries-old Moro Problem in Mindanao, which the Manila neo-colonial regime tries to wreck consistently."

In a report posted at www.luwaran.com, the MILF claimed that the "Philippine government is trying to divide the Bangsamoro people by playing one group against the other."

"If we fall into this dirty scheme, then we suffer including the generations yet to come," one MILF leader said. (BOT)
