By Ben O. Tesiorna

CITY Mayor Rodrigo Duterte is doing well after a minor operation on his gall bladder in a Metro Manila hospital, Tuesday morning.

The mayor went under the knife in the morning and was already making calls in the afternoon. He called up some of his friends Wednesday morning telling them that he is okay.

Duterte is raring to leave the hospital once the doctors give him a clean bill of health anytime soon.

The mayor underwent operation in his gall bladder with the use of an endoscope.

About five stones were said to have been taken out from his bladder that has been causing him discomfort for few years now.

Several months ago, Duterte also went under the knife for the pain in his shoulder.
