SDC bowlers eye to keep lead

THE SDC bowlers will try to keep its top position as the SBC-JNPT Tatlohan Bowling Spectacle 2008 resumes at the Fairlanes Bowling Center Thursday night.

SDC, bannered by Maligang-Tahura-Fernandez, amassed a total of 757 pinfalls to grab the number 1 spot after two games in the six-game elimination series.

The JJK trio placed second with 688 pinfalls while RCSS team of Ping Efondo, Plutie Banlasan and Boy Soriano came in third with a similar output.

Trailing behind were TJT (683), HJBL (680), CER (676), MJM (661), Victoria Plaza (643) and KID (616).

The last two games will be played on June 30 where the top four teams will advance to the step-the-ladder championship round.

Cash prizes will be given away to the winners of the meet organized by the Sunday Bowlers Club and its June birthday celebrants Joe Torres, Nonoy Lacuesta, Plutie Banlasan, and Tony Erno.

SBC, meanwhile, will also host the SBC San Pedro Fiesta Tatlohan Bakbakan sa Alley `08 on Sunday at Fairlanes.

It will be a one-day, five-game series open event that stakes cash prizes of P3,000, P2,000, P1,000 and P700 to the first four teams in the step-the-ladder finals. (MLSA)
