THE CLE Medical Supply Panthers beat the Green Huskies, 74-61, to sweep the best-of-three finals and capture the Davao City Association of Detailmen and Salesmen (DCADS) basketball crown.
It was a rousing comeback by the Panthers, who went through a rocky start during the elimination phase only to turn things around capped by the 13-point margin in the final match.
The CLE Panthers' troika of Eugene Chiong, Randy Yap, and Raymond de Guzman spearheaded the team's offensive thrust on the way to their second championships.
The Panthers' newly recruited high leaping forward Ritchie Veradio made a remarkable performance along with Bimbo Grey, Nono Paulino, Brian Ferrer, Khan-khan Cerbo, Bing Salboner, Rey Sanchez, and Alex Blanco.
"We made a good fight through our excellent execution in both offense and defense," the CLE Panters' coach Bing Salboner said.
DCADS Commissioner Ador Renoblas said they plan to hold an invitational tournament next.
"During the off season, we will invite our counterparts from General Santos City to an invitational game as token of promoting our friendship and camaraderie among detailmen in the region," Ador said.
The DCADS White Tigers finished third in the tournament after beating DCADS Gold Diggers.
