KTV employees sued for 'selling' GROs
By Rhodamae M. Hernandez

THE Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) filed charges against officers and a security guard of Korokkan KTV bar inside Victoria Plaza compound in Bajada for allowing their female bar attendants to be taken out by customers for sex.

Those charged with Republic Act 9208 otherwise known as the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2003 were: Nemesia Lachica-Hecita; Ritchie Dorona Sabrine; Almeda Paz Ramos; Fatima Nalzaro Ringalo; and Gilbert Alviso Constan.

The suspects were charged based on the complaint executed by the apprehending officer PO1 Lloyd Cuballes of the CIDG-Southern Mindanao.

Cuballes, in his affidavit, said they went to the KTV bar around 9:30 p.m. of July 4 to check out a report that the bar is into prostitution as well.

As soon as they entered, they were met by a woman who identified herself as "Bing," later known as Hecita, who offered them a VIP room for more privacy.

Inside the room, women were paraded in front of them. At the same time, Bing told him in secret that she will be the one to choose for him as she knows who are the "game" ones meaning those willing to give sexual satisfaction to their customers.

After they selected their women for the night, Hecita discussed with him how much the room will cost them as well as their "take-out policy."

Cuballes said Hecita told him that the entertainers can be taken out provided that they will pay P1,904 for the unserved 10 glasses of ladies drink and P500 for the PR manager.

The "services" of the chosen entertainer will depend on what the customer and the woman will agree on. This arrangement is allowed by the bar management, he was told.

While enjoying the night, Hecita continued her "sales talk," convincing Cuballes to take out the girls. He said his two companions took her offer, thus two girls were told to change their clothes.

After paying for their bill, they were escorted to the main entrance by Hecita where she asked him for her commission. She gave her a P1,000 marked bill just before the other agents pounced on Hecita.

The suspects are now detained at the CIDG-Southern Mindanao detention cell.
