The mayor said Davao City has enough public transport vehicles that would address the need of the 1.2 million Dabawenyos.
He said the City Government would ensure the streets are safe from criminals to allow commuters to travel with ease.
Duterte also warned of trouble due to the oil crisis. He said the breaking point will soon be reached and the world will be thrown into war.
"Somehow there's gonna be trouble and I see it in the horizon," Duterte said.
The Philippines, he say, could do nothing about it adding this is the worst time to be a chief executive.
"It's beyond our control. President (Gloria Macapagal) Arroyo could not do anything about it. Governors and mayors are helpless. Greed is causing all this," Duterte said. (BOT)
