Hot weather to continue

THE hot weather being experienced by Davao City the past few days will continue this week as temperatures soar to as high as 34 degrees Celsius.

Overall, the weather will be fair for the first few days of the week, as no weather disturbance has been reported to be affecting Southern Mindanao.

Expect some rains, however, towards the end of the week.

Based on the weather forecast of the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pag-asa), Southern Mindanao will experience fair weather during the day while partly cloudy to cloudy skies will prevail later in the day, especially during late afternoons and the evenings, accompanied by scattered rain showers and thunderstorms.

Pag-asa also reported that light to moderate winds blowing from the southeast to southwest would prevail over the region. Coastal waters in the Davao Gulf will be slight to moderate except during thunderstorms.

Even with the expected onslaught of rainy days in the end part of the week, temperatures in the city will still be searing hot ranging from a high of 34 degrees Celsius to a low of only 24 degrees Celsius.

Humidity is also reported to be at a high of 96 percent during the early morning while it is on at a low of only 65 percent during noon. (CPM)
