THE GRE trio of G. Perez, Rene Dalayon, and E. Sagario emerged champion at the close of the SBC-MDBP Tatlohan Bowling Encounter 2008 at the Fairlanes Bowling Center Monday evening.
GRE, which enjoyed a twice-to-beat advantage by topping the six-game elimination series, avenged its first game loss by beating No. 3 Jomeda in the second game of their step-the-ladder finals.
The champion team bagged the cash prize of P3,500 while Jomeda of J. Torres, M. Bojo and D. Tahura took the runner-up purse of P2,500.
Brilliant Pawnshop 2 of R. Balana, J. Lisondra and J. Gonzaga placed third with P1,500 and fourth-placer Jarano of J. Toribio and Nonoy and Cheche Calida went home with P1,000.
In the step-the-ladder round, No. 3 Jomeda defeated No. 4 Jarano to arrange a meeting with No. 2 Brilliant Pawnshop. Jomeda then turned back Brilliant Pawnshop to face GRE in the championship match.
