Friday, August 01, 2008 Culinary fest gathers top chefs
CULINARY enthusiasts from all over Mindanao are expected to flock to the Mindanao Culinary Festival (MCF) 2008 Summit this September 25 to 27.
The Davao Tourism Association (Data), organizer of the MCF, promises another culinary excitement as it brings together famous chefs who will handle certificate courses on baking and cooking.
These chefs are Chef Booboo Maramba, Chef Penk Ching, and Chef Dorothy Ferreria.
The courses, Data said will be conducted at a minimal fee.
Nestle Professional, a major presenter of the MCF Summit, will also be holding a workshop on canteen operations, which include courses on operations and wellness for canteen operators and school administrators.
Annie Nisce, associate editor of the Appetite Magazine, will also give a lecture on what it takes to be a food writer.
Different food companies such as the Kerry Ingredients Baking Technology Demo will also sponsor free demos and lectures to be made available to the public. (JGRS)
