Notorious robber, teen pal shot dead

ARMED men onboard a motorcycle shot dead an alleged robber and a teenage while the two were drinking beer inside a store at Riverside in Calinan, Saturday night.

The victims were identified as Johnee Inson, 31, whom police claimed as a notorious robber, and Aldren Cayog, 17, both residents of purok 5-A, Barangay Riverside.

Initial investigation by SPO1 Danilo Mendez of the Calinan Police said the two were inside the store of former barangay Riverside captain Dr. Gil Cañete around 10 p.m. when two men arrived on a motorcycle.

One of the motorcycle riding men went inside the store and shot Inson and Cayog several times.

Members of the Calinan police and the Scene of the Crime Operatives (Soco) found 11 empty shells of a caliber .45 gun at the crime scene.

According to Mendez, Inson had several police records for robbery. Inson also had a pending case and was under probation for his involvement in a robbery at Calinan Memorial Park.

The Calinan police are still conducting further investigation to identify the suspects behind the crime.

The body of the victim was brought to the St. Peter Funeral Parlor in Calinan for autopsy. (RCO)
