"The Flight of the Eagles will again soar with this year's theme: Biking Against Global Warming," Avila said.

Avila said they're excited to go into a new five-year agreement with the Davao City Water District regarding their adopt-a-site program at the Talomo Lipadas Watershed.

"The signing of new contract for the one-hectare of watershed will highlight this year's edition of the 40-kilometer fun ride," Avila said.

The councilor added that special awards await the lady riders and the kiddie 15 years old and under top riders and fat boys riders (85 kilograms and up) in the one-kilometer end race. But participants in these events will have to start at Magsaysay Park.

Raffle prizes are also at stake for the participants of the one-day activity that is organized by the Federation of Off-Road Cycling Enthusiasts (Force), DCWD, Watershed Management Coordinating Council (WMCC), Watershed Management Youth Council (WMYC) and Office of f Councilor Avila in cooperation with the Energy and Clean Air Project of the USAID and the Ateneo de Davao University.

Registration fee is P250 inclusive of shirt, lunch pack, certificate and raffles. Forms are available at Avila's Office, DCWD-Comrel, 3MJ Bikeshop Matina, Boondocks Bikes and Edzaldi Bakeshop. (MLSA)
