Sunday, August 10, 2008 Balay Dangupan kids to play bowling
THE Jose Consuelo Sr. Angeles Foundation will sponsor some 29 kids and staff of Balay Dangupan to play tenpin bowling at the NCCC Mall B3 Lanes at 4 p.m. on Monday.
Businessman Romy Serrano, in an interview with Sun.Star Davao said, "My wife Grace and I will treat the Balay Dangupan kids and their staff to a fun afternoon of playing tenpin in celebration of the Kadayawan Festival. We've asked the help our friends to help us teach them play the sport."
The friends he was referring to were fellow Durian Tenpin Bowlers Association (Dutba) members.
Serrano said he and his wife will shoulder the alley fees and refreshments after the game.
"This is our first time to treat them to play tenpin but we have been helping out Balay Dangupan in our own little ways for how many years now. It has also been Dutba's beneficiary in most of its tournaments," he added.
When asked if the tenpin bowling treat would become an annual event, he was quick to reply: "I hope so. I hope our business will be okay so we can continue to share our blessings." (MLSA)
