THE University of Mindanao (UM) Tagum-A bagged the crown of the just concluded Mayor Rodrigo R. Duterte Kadayawan sa Dabaw Sepak Takraw Open Tournament college division at the Rizal Park over the weekend.
UM Tagum-A beat Lupon Davao Oriental in the finals of the two-day meet presented by Mayor Duterte through the Sports Development Division of the City Mayor's Office.
Lupon placed second while Wild FM Davao came third and Davao College Southern Philippines (DCSP) Mustangs was fourth.
In the women's event, Catalunan Grande National High School emerged champion over Wangan Elementary School, University of Southeastern Philippines and Lapu-Lapu Elementary School that placed second, third and fourth, respectively.
Davao City Sepak Takraw Association (DCSTA) president Nilda Sebellino said Monday that the elementary division will yet be played on August 30 and 31.
She added that the awarding of prizes will be held on August 31. (MLSA)
