"There are various restaurants here, Malaysian, Singaporean, Thai, and even Vietnamese, but no Indonesian," Partawana said.

Moreover, the Indonesian Consulate took part as a side exhibitor during the Mindanao Culinary Festival 2008 Summit preliminaries, which was conducted Wednesday at the House of Indonesia here in Davao City.

"We are supporting the Mindanao Culinary Festival 2008 and will work to ensure its success," Partawana said.

Conducted Wednesday were the preliminaries for the table setting for the student and professional divisions where 22 schools and 11 establishments participated for the event.

The competition was judged by former beauty queen Margie Moran-Floirendo, Davao City's premier florist Charito Puentespina, and Itje Erwin of the Indonesian Consulate.
