Army arrests MILF's medic

A SUSPECTED medical officer of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) was apprehended by the military in Maguindanao last week.

Badrodin Abdul was arrested by soldiers from the Army's 46th Infantry Battalion in Barangay Kitango, Datu Saudi Ampatuan town on August 22 around 1:15 in the afternoon.

The soldiers were conducting clearing operation in the area when they chanced upon Abdul.

Recovered from the suspect's possession are medical paraphernalia.

During interrogation, Abdul allegedly admitted to authorities that he had treated MILF rebels wounded in several firefights with government troops. (BOT)
