PROSECUTOR Marte Melchor Velasco was given 10 days to submit his final offer of exhibits on the case of a man accused of stealing jewelry from inside a house of a bank manager at Elenita Heights subdivision in Catalunan Grande, Davao City last July after the complainant gave her testimony.
In an order, Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 11 Judge Virginia Hofileña Europa said the formal offer of exhibits must be placed in writing.
Jully Sanchez Gregory was charged with theft after Prosecutor Gaye Cañete Magdagasang found probable cause to hold him for court trial based on the complaint of the victim, Maria Dee Bautista of PS bank.
Bautista accused Gregory of stealing some P200,000 worth of jewelry from her house last July 13. Gregory had access to her house after she allowed him to sleep over after being introduced as her helper's brother.
It turned out that Gregory is her helper's boyfriend and had ill intentions when he went to Bautista's house.
Magdagasang recommended a bailbond of P40,000 for the respondent's temporary liberty. (RMH)
