SZUSZA Grace Tabudlong of Sta. Ana Elementary School bested fellow 4.0 scorer Allen Davin de Asis of Magallanes Elementary School via the tiebreak to emerge champion in the 35th BKCC-DCSC Under 10 Club Rapid Chess Tournament at the Blue Knight Chess Club.De Asis settled for the runner-up honors while John Cloyd Oria of Sped-Bangkal and Val Paulo Bertulfo of Precious International School landed at the third and fourth spots, respectively, with identical 3.5 points.
Tabudlong's final fifth round victim was Eric Yngayo of Little Friends Community Learning School of Toril. The latter shared the fourth to sixth place with two other three pointers Michael Angelo Cruz of Sped-Bangkal and Michael John Varquez of Doa Pilar Learning Foundation, Inc.
Finishing behind were PIS player Ivan Miguel Pangan, Kaputian Elementary School's Jhake Magsico, PIS' Lloyd Matthew Resma, DPLFI's Norman Varquez, Kapitan Tomas Monteverde Sr. Elementary School's Giddel Mirantes, PIS' Neal Alphonse Pangan and Davao Central School's Jezreel Olidiana.
