Friday, August 29, 2008 Garcia: 8th Anselmo Ferrazzini set on Sept. 21 By Imee Garcia
POLLY and a buddy of hers were playing golf one sunny afternoon. Polly teed off and watched in horror as the ball headed directly toward a foursome of men playing the next hole.
Sure enough, the ball hit one of the guys, and he immediately clasped his hands together at his crotch, fell to the ground, and proceeded to roll around in agony. Polly rushed over and immediately began to apologize.
She then explained that she was a physical therapist and offered to help ease his pain. "Ummph, ooh, nnooo, I'll be alright... I'll be fine in a few minutes," he replied as he remained in the fetal position still clasping his hands together at his crotch. But Polly persisted, and he finally allowed her to help him. She gently took his hands away and laid them to the side, loosened his pants and put her hands inside, beginning to massage him." Does that feel better?" she asked. "Ohhh, Yeah...It feels *really* great," he replied, "But my thumb still hurts like hell!"
For those of you who plan on playing golf at Palos Verdes sometime soon, you better play this weekend because the course will be closed next weekend (September 4-6), because of the annual Sta. Lucia Golf Tournament.
On September 3, from 6am to 8am, the course may also be blocked as there may be a mini tournament organized by Allan Reyes, unless the schedule was changed and I was not informed. Better that you call the club first if you decide to play in the morning of the 3rd of September.
One big tournament that the golfers should look forward to is the 8th Anselmo Ferrazzini Memorial Golf Tournament, which is on September 21. As I am writing this, I got depressed because it reminded me of the passing away of a friend of mine, and his name is Cinting Ferrazzini.
It was not his time to die! Life is unfair. We keep saying to ourselves that there is a reason for everything that happens. I really cannot figure out what the reason is for such a great guy to move on so abruptly, so soon. Wherever he is now, I hope he is happy once again. I offer my sincerest condolences once again to the bereaved family of Vicente "Cinting" Ferrazzini. Hey Cinting, if you are reading this from where ever you are, why don't you make someone make a hole in one on your grandfather's tournament. And if mine goes in, don't you dare take it out and throw it in the water!
Hey people, now you have a better reason for joining that tournament. Who knows, you might be the lucky one who'll win the big prize. Remember, a lot of prizes are up for grabs. And one thing I am sure of, even if you lose, you will still get stuffed as they always prepare a lot of food for that tournament. See you all there!
