The pre-Kadayawan activity was teamed up with private and government sectors namely, the University of the Philippines in Mindanao, Magnolia Rosea Learning Center, Cenro and Barangay 76-A.
The day started with registration and a free-flowing hot chocolate and coffee at SM City Davao at 6 a.m.
With 120 participants, the activity started with a warm up walk towards the coast of Barangay 76-A or the well-known, Times Beach.
Everyone despite the heat of the sun collected more than 70 sacks of trash until 10 a.m.
A lecture on Biodiversity and how to protect and preserve the natural resources was given by Dr. Antonio R. Obsioma of the University of the Philippines in Mindanao at Lisa's Store after the cleanup.
