By Rhodamae M. Hernandez

THE City Prosecutor's Office charged a teenage man and his companion accused of abducting a 15-year-old boy and stealing the tricycle he was driving last August 28.

In an affidavit, he said he was driving a tricycle with his elder brother along J.P. Cabaguio Avenue in front of the Panadero Bakeshop around 3 a.m. of August 28 when his brother decided to go inside an Internet cafe‚ leaving him to watch over the tricycle.

While waiting, two men asked to be brought to Ubalde in R. Castillo. But when they arrived in Ubalde, one of the men poked a knife at him and ordered him to turn over his tricycle to them.

One of the men took over the driving and headed north, with him still held captive.

He said they stopped in Panacan to gas-up and then proceeded to Tagum City where they stopped to rest until 7 a.m. the following day. He said the men then detached the cab and sold it to a junkshop.

He was then made to ride the motorcycle with the two men again as they headed to New Bataan in Compostela Valley. The men tried looking for a buyer for the motorcycle in New Bataan but as they were driving around, a policeman stopped them for a traffic violation and brought them to the police station.

It was at the police station where he told the police what happened.

No bail was recommended for each of the respondent's temporary liberty. (RMH)
