THE Ateneo de Davao University (AdDU) collected four gold medals at the close of the 2008 Dacs (Davao Association of Colleges and Schools) volleyball tournament at the AdDU Matina Gymnasium Thursday.
AdDU topped the Grade School (GS) boys and girls and High School (HS) boys and girls divisions.
The AdDU GS boys spikers whipped Stella Maris Academy of Davao (Smad), 25-9, 25-12, in the final. Smad settled for silver while the Holy Cross of Davao College got the bronze and Assumption College of Davao (ACD) placed fourth. HCDC beat ACD, 25-20, 25-15.
The AdDU GS girls team, meanwhile, spanked University of the Immaculate Conception (UIC), 25-6, 25-16. The latter clinched the silver while ACD, which pulled off a 25-14, 25-12 win over HCDC, salvaged the bronze. HCDC finished fourth.
In HS division, the AdDU boys team hacked out an 18-25, 25-8, 25-21, 25-14 victory over Smad while the girls team bested Smad, 25-15, 26-24, 25-8.
Smad pocketed two silvers in HS category while ACD and Cor Jesu College of Digos each won a bronze in the four-day meet sanctioned by the Davao Amateur Volleyball Association (Dava).
The Holy Cross Academy of Sasa, Our Lady of Fatima Academy and Philippine Women's College were also among the teams that saw action in the annual volleyball event.
