Sunday, September 07, 2008 Ateneo White routs Southpoint, 14-0
THE Ateneo de Davao University (AdDU) White routed Southpoint School, 14-0, in the opener of the Blue Knight Inter-High School League 2008 at the Tionko Football Grounds, Quimpo Boulevard Saturday morning.
The matches pitting Emar Learning Center-B against Davao City National High School and Ateneo-Blue against Emar-A were still ongoing as of this writing Saturday.
Games will resume on September 13 in the bootfest that carries the theme, "Training to compete... competing to be trained."
The University of Mindanao (UM) or Philippine Women's College (PWC) at 8 a.m. will clash against DCNHS, while Ateneo White will battle Emar-A at 3 p.m. Emar-B. meanwhile, will collide with Ateneo Blue.
Prizes are up for grabs in the League System format meet where a win is equivalent to three points, draw one point and zero for a loss.
The most valuable player (MVP), leading goal scorer and fair play award, according to the league's regulations, will also receive prizes. (MLSA)
