Fairlanes to host two bowling events

THE Fairlanes Bowling Center management, in coordination with the Sunday Bowlers Club, will sponsor and host two duckpin events in September and October.

Former SBC president Emie Orteza said Saturday that a Tatlohan Bowling Tournament is set on September 16, 18 and 19 with cash prizes up for grabs.

Orteza said the champion will pocket P3,200 while the runner-up will receive P2,200. The third and fourth placers will claim P1,200 and P1,000, respectively.

The 4th Oktoberfest Open Bowling Tournament, meanwhile, will be held on October 7, 9, 14, 17 and 21. The event offers P10,000 to the champion, P7,00 to the runner-up, P5,000 to the third placer and P3,000 for the fourth placer.

The winners will also receive trophies.

Orteza said the two competitions will observe handicapping. (MLSA)
