'Dugo mo, Buhay ko!'

KALAYAAN Broadcasting System Inc. (KBSI) Radyo Rapido and Tagum Agricultural Development Company Inc. (Tadeco), through the Antonio O. Floirendo Sr. Foundation (AOFF), organized 'Dugo mo, Buhay ko!' -- a bloodletting activity -- at Damosa Market Basket on September 4.

The half-day mission gathered members of Philippine Air Force 11 and 10th Infantry Division, Tactical Operation Group 11, PAF, and Eastern Mindanao Command.

Since it was open to all, the employees of Tadeco, Anflocor, and passersby were also among those who donated blood.

"In line with the medical mission that we conduct, bloodletting is also one of the activities that we give importance to since there are a lot of patients who need blood, and we more than happy to know that there are equally a lot of brave folks who respond to this call," said Russell U. Barrizo, AOFF programs director.

Edgar Candia, host of the radio program "Ipangutana kang Doc," thanked some 54 donors and Red Cross-Davao City Chapter for facilitating the bloodletting activity.

"We will conduct another bloodletting. Join us in the next bloodletting because your blood donation means a lot to other people's lives," Candia said.

Radyo Rapido also thanked Dr. Leoncio U. Ong, DMC director Dr. Leopoldo J. Vega, Association of Davao Volunteer Doctors, and Damosa Land Incorporated (DLI) for making the activity possible.
