Holy Cross, Ateneo Davao keep unbeaten records

THE Holy Cross of Davao College (HCDC) and Ateneo de Davao University (AdDU) kept their unbeaten slates after three matches in men's pool A eliminations of the Davao Association of Colleges and Schools (Dacs) College Volleyball Tournament held at the Philippine Women's College (PWC) Gym over the weekend.

HCDC spanked SPCT, 25-4, 25-5, 25-6, then whipped Brokenshire College (BC), 25-13, 25-21, 25-16, before turning back Davao Doctors College (DDC), 25-10, 25-12, 25-17.

AdDU, meanwhile, beat DDC, 25-15, 25-17, 25-12, after surviving a 25-21, 25-22, 23-25, 25-23 win over BC and defeating SPCT in three straight sets (25-7, 25-12, 25-17).

The BC men's spikers occupied the third spot with a 2-2 record. They crushed SPCT (25-10, 25-2, 25-5) and then walloped DDC (25-22, 25-21, 25-9).

In men's pool B, PWC held a clean 2-0 record while the University of the Immaculate Conception (UIC) had 2-1 followed by San Pedro College (SPC) with 1-1 and Cor Jesu College of Digos 0-3.

PWC escaped with a 26-24, 18-25, 25-18, 23-25, 15-11 victory over UIC and then downed CJC 25-13, 21-25, 25-23, 25-17 while UIC bested CJC (23-25, 25-13, 25-18, 25-19) and SPC (25-20, 25-17, 25-22) in the meet sanctioned by the Davao Football Association. (MLSA)
