Sta. Ana HS crushes ACD

THE Sta. Ana National High School (SANHS) toyed with the hapless Assumption College of Davao (ACD)-B, 110-16, to grab its third straight win in the 6th Gaisano South (GS) Cup girls event at the GS Citimall SkyGym over the weekend.

Reliable Hazel Isonza sizzled with 25 points, nine rebounds, and seven steals to lead the charge for SANHS in the cagefest sanctioned by the Basketball Association of the Philippines-Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (BAP-SBP).

In the college division, Holy Cross of Davao College (HCDC) Crusaders overwhelmed the DMMA College of Southern Philippines (DCSP), 115-51, while the Agro Industrial Foundation College of the Philippines (AIFCP) Sailors tamed the Rizal Memorial College (RMC) Bulldogs, 94-85.

The Adel Gino Nobleza-coached Crusaders pulled away with a 56-26 lead at halftime and went on to secure the win as Kirk James Blanco, Arthur Japson, Ochate, and Kristopher Lacida combined for 63 points.

Genry Curso and Clemente Ruiz, meanwhile, led the Sailors with 24 and 23 markers, respectively. Curso was hailed best player of the game as he totaled for 10 rebounds, three assists, and three steals.

In the mini event, the University of the Immaculate Conception (UIC) crushed Doņa Pilar Learning Center, 74-41, while the Holy Child School of Davao thrashed HCDC, 101-43.

The Stella Maris Academy of Davao (Smad) routed Thompson Christian School, 71-67, while Daniel R. Aguinaldo National High School (DRANHS) downed St. Peter College of Toril, 86-80, in the cadet division. (MLSA)
