Usep graduate ranks 8th in master plumber exams
ADRIAN Paul Gonzales, a 2008 BS Civil Engineering graduate of the University of Southeastern Philippines (Usep), ranked eighth during the 2008 Registered Master Plumber (RMP) Licensure Examination held on August 28-29 in Manila, Cebu, and Davao.
A total of 24 out of 37 examinees from Usep successfully passed the board exam.

Other successful board examinees of the university include: Michael Angelo L. Abrenica, Reden M. Avance, Reinhold C. Blanco, Christy B. Boctoto, Ricky D. Coronel, Beljun P. Flores, Brenda E. Flores, Joey Ritcher A. Hisola, Kesia B. Lasquite, Oscar III A. Lazaro, Rose Marie L. Malasaga, Buenaventura Jr. M. Mamac, Marinelle P. Osano, Luzvimin P. Padolina, Mae Kristine Joy L. Pancho, Nowell V. Penonia, Aiza Lee C. Perez, Rommel M. Peña, Ismael R. Pondevida, Marvin L. Ramos, Frances A. Sanoy, Shewna Lee L. Tapic and Aubrey A. Temon.
Meanwhile, the University College of Engineering ranked first in the Cebu Mitsumi, Inc. (a manufacturing company located in Davao City, Cebu that produces electronic parts for various electronic devices) partner schools ranking (under the state colleges category) based on the university's graduates performance during campus-hiring examinations, hiring percentage per school, evaluation performance, disciplinary action records, promotion, turnover and Engineering and Technical Services (ETS) training result.
Also, the Usep College of Engineering in partnership with the Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers of the Philippines, Inc. hosted the 4th Regional Student Conference with the theme "Respond to Global Electrical Safety, Energy and Environmental Protection" held at the Social Hall of Usep, Obrero campus, Davao City.
Highlights of the activity were regional quiz show, regional math wizard, and technical seminar.
The conference was participated in by various schools, namely: Usep, Ateneo de Davao University, University of Mindanao, Mindanao State University-General Santos City, Notre Dame of Marbel University and Notre Dame of Dadiangas University. (Press release)
