Batman slay suspect posts property bond
By Rhodamae M. Hernandez

THE broadcaster accused of killing a colleague in December last year posted a property bond for his provisional liberty Wednesday afternoon.

RTC Branch 14 Judge George Omelio ordered the release of Leonilo Larosa from detention unless he will be held for other offense.

Omelio allowed Larosa to post P300,000 bail for his provisional liberty, saying there are inconsistencies on the testimonies of the lone witness who identified him as the one who killed Fernando "Ferdie" Lintuan last year.

The case was raffled off before the sala of RTC Branch 14 Judge George Omelio after the accused sought the inhibition of RTC Branch 17 Judge Renato Fuentes.

Lintuan was shot to death in the morning of Dec. 24, 2007 while coming out of radio station dxGO in Agdao where he was a blocktimer.

Earlier, Fuentes issued a 19-page resolution denying Larosa of his right to bail, saying that "there is no irreconcilable inconsistency" between what the young witness said in open court and his sworn statement, and that the two were "complementary with each other."

Larosa, also blocktimer at dxGO, was positively identified by one of three witnesses as the one who shoot Lintuan to death.
