THE City Prosecutor’s Office formally charged two men accused of trying to kill another at the corner of Roxas Avenue and Quezon Boulevard, Davao City, last month.
Charged for trying to kill Roland Arang Daguit were Romel Palil Golosino, 19, of purok 2 in Barangay 76-A, and another suspect identified only as Bael, after prosecutor Jose Garcia found probable cause to hold them for court trial based on the accounts of witness, Ian Macariñas, 21.
Macariñas, in his affidavit said, he was with the victim and two female friends drinking liquor around 11:30 p.m. of September 25 when he noticed the suspects approaching.
Sensing trouble, he stood up and walked away. The two men followed him, he said, but he hid behind a big truck.
From there, he saw the two men go to Danguit, instead, shot him in the face and stabbed him twice.
Garcia recommended a bail bond of P200,000 for each of the respondent's temporary liberty.
