A MAN eaten up by jealousy threatened to kill himself by climbing up a telecoms tower in Matina Aplaya Friday, gathering a huge audience in the process, among them Davao City officials and Rescue 911 personnel.
But that was all it was, a threat, as Rodrigo Artajo Jr., 21, climbed down after getting the commitments of former vice mayor Luis C. Bonguyan and Councilor Leonardo R. Avila III to be the main sponsors in his wedding to his live-in partner, Catherine.
Artajo has a daughter with Catherine.
It wasn't clear what Artajo was jealous about, but among those begging him to come down was Catherine, who brought with her their daughter. (Toto Lozano)
