TWO local dance groups bagged the top plum in the just concluded Groove Urban Dance Battle held at Corssroad 77 at Mother Ignacia in Quezon City Saturday evening.
The famous Exquizyth from General Santos City bagged the championship with P50,000 in cash and the right to represent the country in the International Urban Dance Finals "World Supremacy Battlegrounds" which will be held at the Olympic Park in Sydney, Australia this coming December.
Second place is Next Block of Cabadbaran. Davao City’s bet Groove Unlimited and Bandila Fusion failed to grab any awards.
Groove's choreographer, Bryan Grandeza, however said that their trip to
Metro Manila is still worth it since they were able to compete in such a prestigious dance competition that paved the way for the now internationally acclaimed Philippine All Star.
Exquizyth will now represent the Philippines in the international championship title won by Xtatic of Cagayan de Oro City last year.
Exquizyth is the same group that bagged the top place in the "U Can Dance" contest of ABS-CBN last year. (BOT)>
