Fair weather this week

IT WILL be a relatively fair weathered-week for Davao City and the rest of Southern Mindanao this week, with clear skies and no weather disturbance in sight.

A repeat of last Thursday's heavy downpour with gusts of winds may not be likely this week as the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) reported that the region will only experience partly cloudy to at times cloudy with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening.

However, Pagasa also said that rainy weather may be experienced in the region later in the week.

Temperatures, however, will be soaring to as high as 33 degrees Celsius and will be at a low of only 24 degrees Celsius. Humidity levels are expected to remain high ranging from 97 percent to 70 percent from daybreak to late evenings.

Also, light to moderate winds will be coming in from the northeast and eastern directions. Coastal waters in Southern Mindanao will remain to be slight to moderate except during thunderstorms. (CPM)
